Meeting Time and Location: Every Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Friday 130!
The Model UN club at UNC Charlotte is a student run organization. The club meets weekly to prepare delegates for conferences and give them the opportunity to practice their skills. Our meetings are run by our Vice President Internal who works throughout the year to teach delegates the skills they need to attend Model UN conferences, including public speaking, researching, caucusing, and professional writing.
As a member of the club, you are able to participate in various conferences throughout the year, including our annual international conference. Before participating in conferences we ask members to attend weekly meetings, participate in conference simulations, pay conference delegate fees, write thorough conference position papers, and attend fundraising events. In return the organization pays for delegates transportation and lodging to participate in conferences.
If you have questions about the club and getting involved please email us at:
Throughout the 2023-2024 academic year, we will be hosting multiple simulations for club members to familiarize themselves with conference rules and procedures. We encourage anyone who is interested in experiencing what Model UN is all about to join us in participating in a simulation.
